Just how does one realize this greatness? What are the ingredients necessary to position oneself for greatness? These are questions that this article seeks to expose and clarify.

  • Be a good manager of your mind – all forms of success are guided by the way we think. If you think of yourself as not being a candidate for greatness, you will sit back and watch others making great strides. If you can win with your mind then you will win with your hands. If you can deliberately manage your mind then you will see your life being more organized and well positioned for significance.
  • Watch your confession – Many times we fail to attain what we are capable of simply because we speak negativity into our own lives. What you say back to yourself over and over is what you begin to believe. What you believe is what you promote. What you promote is what guides your actions and ultimately repeated actions shape your lifestyle. Tell yourself that you can be an achiever. Speak possibility continually. Soon enough you will allocate enough energy to create possibilities.
  • Go beyond planning. Implement your ideas – There are many people who love to plan yet they lack the willingness to implement what they think. In this world you are not rewarded for merely planning or thinking. You are rewarded for results you achieve through the implementation of your ideas. A lot of potential goes to waste daily as people die full of what could have been. Your success could be hindered by the fear or reluctance to make your goals a reality. Start what you plan and finish everything you start.

  • Know your purpose and live in it – You will not achieve much in life when you spend your lifetime outside your God given purpose. You have to identify what you are passionate about; that which fulfills you. If you are in your area of purpose, you will be productive and effective. You will not need as much encouragement as you will possess an inner drive to succeed. It is wrong to envy other people’s callings while neglecting your own. Thrive through your uniqueness.
  • Increase your level of exposure and awareness – You can never go past your level of exposure. Always seek to develop yourself, mentally, physically, emotionally, professionally and so on. Never get to the point where you think you know everything there is to know. You are limited in life by the information you know or lack. Never despise what you can learn from the people around you. Be willing to learn as well as mentor others. Have a voracious appetite for knowledge.
  • Be willing to break new ground; take risks – Sometimes we fail to reach our maximum potential because we create comfort zones through what we already have access to. It always seems risky to try something that no one else has ever done. When you try out your ideas you will face criticism and ridicule. Many will discourage you from embarking on your ideas while they position themselves to implement the same ideas. Watch who you talk to as you seek to break into unfamiliar territories.
  • Make a decision to be a solution provider– Success is in the solutions you provide. Life is about making decisions. You will not always make good decisions. Maturity is when you can learn from your mistakes and still move ahead to make new decisions. Whenever you see challenges around you, those bring greatness if you can be the one to show up with an answer. Do not run away from challenges. In fact convert every inconvenience to solutions that mankind can enjoy. Greatness will be a given.
