Zimbabwe broadcasting authority targets Queen Nadia TV over explicit content
HARARE – Zimbabwe’s Broadcasting Authority has raised alarm over the growing spread of explicit digital content on social media platforms accessible to audiences in the country, including children.
The statement comes as social media content creator Queen Nadia TV continues to trend after amassing over 3 million followers on Facebook with over 1 billion views from posting videos that briefly show her private parts.
In a statement issued Feb. 3, 2026, the Broadcasting Authority of Zimbabwe (BAZ) said it was seriously concerned about content shared by some social media creators that violates national laws and constitutional values.

It cited Section 61 of the Constitution, which guarantees freedom of expression, but emphasized that the right must be exercised responsibly and in line with limitations set out in Section 86, which protects the rights and freedoms of others.
“In terms of the Broadcasting Services Act [Chapter 12:06], children have a right to protection from exposure to content that is harmful to their moral and psychological development, with the best interests of the child being paramount,” read the statement.
“Moreover, the Censorship and Entertainment Control Act [Chapter 10:04] prohibits the dissemination of content that is indecent or obscene or is offensive or harmful to public morals.
“Broadcasters and content creators must therefore uphold public morality and national values as entrenched in the laws of Zimbabwe,” BAZ added in their statement.
