Heartbroken Mliswa says DNA tests revealed that some of his 20 children are not really his
HARARE – Former Norton legislator Temba Mliswa has revealed that DNA tests have shown that some of the 20 children he has been supporting are not biologically his, a disclosure he described as deeply emotional but one that has not changed his commitment to their welfare.
Speaking in a recent interview with Zigo, the outspoken politician, who is currently taking care of about 18 children with more than 10 women, with the total number of children under his care closer to 20, said some of the children are not biologically his.
“Some of the children are not mine, I have done DNAs. That’s the most emotional part I have to tell you. I have tears but I love the kids, I will look after them because they are innocent. It’s a hard one for me. The kids don’t know and they must not know ” Mliswa stated.
In 2021, Mliswa said he would spend approximately US$25,000 per school term on school fees and related expenses.
Mliswa, who remains unmarried, said at the time that he was proud of the children he had fathered and indicated that he planned to continue having children, adding that he would settle down at a later stage.
