IShowSpeed questions Scott Sakupwanya’s children over their presence in nightclub
HARARE – Famous American YouTube personality iShowSpeed expressed visible displeasure after encountering underage children inside a nightclub during his tour of Zimbabwe, an incident that sparked debate on social media.
The moment occurred during his visit to Queen of Hearts, a popular Harare nightlife venue, where the streamer questioned why minors were present in an adult-only space.
In video footage circulating online, iShowSpeed can be heard asking why children were allowed inside the club, making it clear he was uncomfortable with the situation.
He asked: “Why do we have kids in the club right now, what’s going on?”
The children identified themselves as belonging to controversial businessman Scott Sakupwanya.
Following the exchange, iShowSpeed insisted that the minors be removed from the venue, maintaining that children should not be in a nightclub environment. The kids wanted pictures with iShowSpeed.
Earlier in the day, iShowSpeed had refused to wear the Scottland FC jersey, a football club owned by Sakupwanya.
The incident drew strong public reaction, including from prominent journalist Robert Mukondiwa, who criticised what he described as a disregard for the rule of law and basic standards, arguing that wealth or status should not override age restrictions governing licensed premises.
“You think the shameful world you’ve created in this ancient Stone Age nation we are creating which says we can break laws as long as we have money applies everywhere?
“There is a functional world out there,” Mukondiwa stated.
“With basic human decency. Where rules apply. Where your money means less than the rule of law. This is embarrassing! Who the fuck cares about your daddy child. You’re a child and shouldn’t be in the pub. I first walked into a club the day I turned 18.”

The episode unfolded amid iShowSpeed’s highly publicised visit to Zimbabwe, which attracted significant global attention. His Harare tour generated more than one million online views within hours, as audiences followed his interactions across the city.
During his stay, the streamer visited several landmarks including the Mbuya Nehanda statue, the Trababalas Interchange, and Mbare, where he met media personality Mudiwa Jani. Accompanied by comedian Chief Ben, iShowSpeed also engaged with local musicians and sampled Zimbabwean cuisine.
Zimbabwe was one of several countries featured on iShowSpeed’s African tour, which also included stops in South Africa, Eswatini, Mozambique, and Botswana.
