MIAMI – British heavyweight boxer Anthony Joshua stopped YouTuber Jake Paul in the sixth round of their blockbuster Netflix heavyweight bout in Miami.

Joshua, a two-time world champion, dropped Paul four times before pulling off a devastating knockout.

Speaking to Netflix after the win, Joshua said; “Well, first of all, I want to give love to the crowd and everyone who came out. I really appreciate everyone in this venue. It wasn’t the best performance, the end goal was to get Jake Paul, put him down and hurt him.

“It took longer than expected, but the right hand finally found the destination.

“Jake Paul has done really well tonight. I want to give him his props. He got up time and time again. It was difficult in there for him, but he kept on trying to find a way. it takes a real man to do that.

“Anyone who laces up these gloves, we have to give them their respect, we have to give Jake his respect for trying and trying.

“But he came up against a real fighter tonight that’s had a 15th month lay off.. We shook off the cobwebs and I can’t wait to roll into 2026.

“If Tyson Fury is as serious as he thinks he is, and he wants to put down his Twitter fingers and put on some gloves and come and fight one of the realest fighters out there that will take on any challenge, step in the ring with me next if you are a real bad boy.

Meanwhile Jake Paul who was immediately consoled by brother Logan, was still in high spirits after his crushing KO loss to AJ.

He said: “I’m feeling good, that was fun. I love this sport. I gave it my all, It’s f***ing crazy. I had a blast.

“I got my ass beat, but that’s what this sport is about. I’mma come back and keep on winning.”

Paul said he was not surprised he lasted six rounds with Joshua.

“I just got tired, to be honest,” he says. “It was just so much handling his weight. I think if I could have had better cardio, I could have kept it up and kept on fighting. But he did amazing, he hits really hard. I just did my personal best.”

Asked whether he’ll fight again, Paul is quick to answer: “For sure. We’re going to heal the broken jaw, [then] come back and fight people my weight and go for the cruiserweight world title.”
