Warrant of arrest issued for rapper Ti Gonzi in Magaya bodyguard case
HARARE – Talk of tables turning, a warrant of arrest was issued against rapper Ti Gonzi after he failed to appear in court for his case, in which he accused Prophet Walter Magaya’s bodyguard of scamming him out of US$6000 in a failed car purchase deal.
Circulating reports suggest that Harare Magistrate Feresi Chakanyuka issued the warrant after the rapper was a no-show for the case in which he is a complainant.
Ti Gonzi, born Tinashe Gonzara, accused Magaya’s bodyguard, Tapiwa Felix Chikondo, of selling him a smuggled vehicle. The car in question was later seized by the Vehicle Theft Squad, leading to the ongoing legal dispute.
Nehanda Radio caught up with the rapper, who said he did not know anything about the warrant of arrest.
“I don’t know anything about that. I am on my way to court now. I will update you later,” said Ti Gonzi.
