Free agent Zimbabwe international Andy Rinomhota on the verge of re-joining Reading
READING – English League One side Reading FC are reportedly closing in on the signing of unattached Zimbabwe Warriors midfielder Andy Rinomhota, Nehanda Radio has learnt.
Rinomhota is said to be currently training with Reading and sources indicate that the 27-year-old is set to put pen to paper on a deal with the club.
“Andy is on the brink of joining Reading FC as a free agent,” said a source familiar with the negotiations.

Rinomhota had been included in the Warriors squad scheduled to travel to Saudi Arabia and Qatar for international friendly matches against Algeria and Qatar next week.
Despite being without a club, the technical team had called him up to assess his fitness and form ahead of the AFCON tournament, now 41 days away.
However, the midfielder has reportedly excused himself from the trip to focus on finalising the move.

Meanwhile, it is understood that Rotherham United have also shown interest, although Reading appear to be leading the race for his signature.
Rinomhota became a free agent after parting ways with Cardiff City reportedly due to contractual disagreements.
He was voted the Players’ Player of the Season at the club in the previous campaign.
