The Warriors’ head coaching position remains vacant after ZIFA announced Nees’ departure last week.

On Monday, the association flighted an advert inviting qualified candidates to apply for the national team job.

Time, however, is not on ZIFA’s side, with upcoming international friendly matches against Algeria and Qatar, as well as preparations for the AFCON finals in Morocco, fast approaching.

Zimbabwe are expected to play Algeria in Saudi Arabia on November 13 and Qatar four days later in the next international break, which begins early next month.

By then, ZIFA is expected to have appointed and unveiled a new head coach.
