Bubbly radio presenter Tavita Natasha Mpala a.k.a Black Pepper dies at work
MASVINGO – The bubbly Tavita Natasha Mpala a Producer/Presenter at the Great Zimbabwe University Campus Radio collapsed and passed away while at work on Friday 17 October 2025.
Great Zimbabwe University issued a statement saying:
“It is with profound sorrow and a heavy heart that, on behalf of Great Zimbabwe University, we announce the passing of our colleague, Tavita Natasha Mpala, the vibrant producer and presenter at GZU Campus Radio, who sadly passed on this afternoon.”
According to her profile on LinkedIn, Mpala produced and presented student driven on and off air programmes such as Campus Connection among others.
