ZIFA president Nqobile Magwizi puts Zimbabwe on the global map with FIFA appointment

HARARE – Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) president Nqobile Magwizi has been appointed to serve on the FIFA Commercial and Marketing Advisory Committee, a key global body that provides strategic guidance on FIFA’s commercial and marketing operations.

The appointment, made in line with the FIFA Statutes and FIFA Governance Regulations, will see Magwizi serve a four-year term from 2025 to 2029.

This recognition places Zimbabwe on the global football map, strengthening the country’s presence and influence within world football governance structures.

The FIFA Commercial and Marketing Advisory Committee plays a pivotal role in shaping strategies that drive the growth, visibility and sustainability of the global game through marketing innovation, sponsorship initiatives, and fan engagement.

Reacting to his appointment, Magwizi expressed pride and gratitude:
