N’angas to have say in social media influencer Natalie Mhandu’s witchcraft case

HARARE – Natalie Mhandu, who stands accused of witchcraft, is temporarily off the hook after she was removed from remand after prosecutors said that they were waiting for a statement from the Zimbabwe National Traditional Healers Association (ZINATHA) before they could proceed with the socialite’s case.

ZINATHA is the organisation that represents and regulates traditional healers in Zimbabwe.

According to the state, the case would only proceed after the issuance of a statement by the organisation and a video from cyber experts.

The case will therefore proceed by way of summons.

According to the allegations brought to the court, Mhandu is said to have recruited her maid, Elizabeth Marire, to accompany her on a visit a witchdoctor, Christine Matashu, also known as Manjenjenje, in Glen View.

After the pair had collected the traditional healer, they proceeded to Churu Farm were the socialite was given explicit instructions on how to cast a spell on the complainant.

Mhandu reportedly took a red cloth and wrote the names of one Mwarianesu, Amanda, Ishmael and Tariro Maumbe. Mhandu then dug a hole and buried the cloth with a knife.

On their return home, Mhandu and her maid had a falling out after she discovered that snuff had been sprinkled around her room.

The maid then left Mhandu’s place and informed the complainant of the spell that had been allegedly cast on her. They then went back to the farm to retrieve the items that had been buried.
