HARARE – Former Dynamos vice chairman Vincent Chawonza has pledged continued support to ailing DeMbare superfan Michael ‘Mudhara Chuchu’ Chindowe following his recent donation of groceries and US$1,200.
Chuchu, a die hard Dynamos supporter from Mbare, has been unwell since June last year.
Unable to attend matches or provide for his family due to his deteriorating health caused by ulcers, he recently appealed for help from the club and well-wishers.

Chawonza stepped in last Friday, offering both financial assistance and groceries to support Chuchu’s medical needs and living expenses.
Speaking on his gesture, Chawonza whose dismissal from Dynamos sparked controversy among some fans, said his donation was made from a place of compassion and loyalty.
“I did this as a Dynamos fan and as a human being. A game without Mudhara Chuchu is not the same.
“When I first heard about his condition and predicament, I told myself I would chip in. That’s why I visited him last week,” said Chawonza.
He also pledged ongoing support for Chuchu and his family.
“As I promised, I will assist where I can. For now, I will try my best to ensure that Mudhara Chuchu and his family receive the essential things they need.”
Chuchu and his wife expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Harare businessman for his timely intervention and generosity.
