“Tytan will not be allowed at my funeral”: Olinda Chapel hits back at ex-hubby
LONDON – The titanic war of words between Tytan Nkomo and his ex-wife, Olinda Chapel, has escalated after the socialite claimed that she had specified in her will that the musician should not be allowed to attend her funeral in case of her death.
Tytan and Olinda, whose troubled marriage reportedly ended in 2023, have been at each other’s throats since her weekend appearance at this year’s edition of Zimfest alongside ex-hubby and rapper Desmond “Stunner” Chideme.
The appearance of the two at the music extravaganza led to reports that they had rekindled their romance. In the aftermath of that appearance, the rapper took to social media to make it clear that he was no longer linked to his ex-wife.
In her latest live session on social media, Olinda said she because of the bad blood between the two of them, Tytan would not be allowed to join those sending her off in case she died.
“The will that I wrote states that Tytan is not allowed at my funeral. That’s how deep it goes,” she said.
Olinda also accused Tytan of being a negligent father who put the interests of his romantic partners ahead of those of his child.
“You came with two bundles of flowers, and Nandi cried for you at the door. The child wanted to go with you, but you refused because you said your girlfriend was at the house. You said that she could not come over because your partner was around.
“That was back in March, and I had to console my child. So, why are you now bothered about me having someone? You did this on the 30th of March, and I never came online and said anything. You are the one who has all these events going on,” she said.
Describing the musician as a “madman”, Olinda said she would make sure that her daughter would grow up with a true picture of who her father was.
“My daughter is not suffering because she does not lack for anything. I think it is best that she knows that her father is a madman. She has to know where she comes from, and then maybe she can go on to have an opportunity to not date anyone like her father,” she said.
The socialite revealed that Tytan had stood in the way of their daughter’s holiday in the United States because of jealousy.
“I cannot pretend to my daughter that her father is a good person when he is not. She asks me why he comes to visit her only once in a month for 30 minutes. She asks why he doesn’t pay for her holidays.
“For example, my daughter was meant to go to America for the summer holidays to her aunt. Her father then said he would call the Home Office to tell them he had not given consent for her to fly there.
“What kind of father refuses for their daughter to go on holiday because he has never been to the States and he has never gotten an American visa?” she said.
