Find ways to save sinking ship, Kalisto Pasuwa pleads with Dynamos bosses

HARARE – Former Dynamos player and coach Kalisto Pasuwa has urged the club’s leadership to take urgent and professional steps to rescue the struggling Harare giants from their current crisis.

The Glamour Boys, once a powerhouse in Southern African football, are now battling relegation, an alarming situation that has deeply concerned not only Pasuwa but also other ex-players and a large section of the local football fraternity.

Speaking to Zimpapers Sports, Pasuwa made an emotional appeal to the Dynamos executive.

“I am pleading with the people at Dynamos. Of course, they are a big club, but a club can only maintain that stature depending on how the people in charge are managing it,” he said.

“It cannot remain big just because of the name ‘Dynamos’. This was once a force in Southern African football. Even clubs like TP Mazembe and Mamelodi Sundowns were, at one point, not at our level.

“But now, when people talk about Southern African football, they mention Sundowns, not Dynamos. That tells you something is wrong. There are things we are not doing right, and they must be fixed.”

Pasuwa highlighted the emergence of new, ambitious teams that are outshining Dynamos, teams led by individuals who once supported the club.

“Dynamos used to be the face of Zimbabwean football in the region. Now we have new clubs like Scotland and MWOS taking the spotlight.

“Ironically, these clubs are run by people who likely grew up supporting Dynamos. The difference is, they are passionate about football and are showing the right way forward in terms of development.

“I hope the Dynamos leadership hears this message and does everything possible to restore the club’s former glory. Supporters are losing sleep, and even some of us who are no longer directly involved are disturbed by what’s happening. Hopefully, everything will turn around.”

Dynamos’ woes deepened over the weekend with a 3-0 loss to Chicken Inn, a result that left them second from the bottom on the log standings.
