LONDON – American singer Chris Brown has proclaimed that he is ready to kickstart his blockbuster tour after he was released on £5 million bail in the United Kingdom on Wednesday.
The musician was arrested last week and later charged with grievous bodily harm over an incident in which he allegedly attacked a music producer with a tequila bottle at the Tape nightclub in London’s Mayfair.
Brown was arrested in Salford, on May 15 after flying into nearby Manchester Airport as he was getting ready to start rehearsing for his upcoming Breezy Bowl XX 20th anniversary tour.
He had been held in custody since Thursday, and was initially refused bail on Friday.
But bail was granted on Wednesday, on the condition that he pay £4m immediately, with a further £1m due in seven days.
Upon the news of his bail, Brown immediately proclaimed his readiness for his tour.
“From the cage to the stage!” he announced on Instagram after Wednesday’s bail hearing.
Brown is set to start his tour in Amsterdam on June 8 and visiting major cities in Europe like Manchester, London and Dublin. He is then headed to the United States and visiting 36 cities like Miami, Boston, Atlanta, Houston, Las Vegas, Washington DC and more.
