Harare giants CAPS United, Dynamos bite the dust, fall to Bulawayo giants Bosso and Chicken Inn

Harare giants CAPS United and Dynamos both suffered narrow 1-0 defeats on Sunday, losing to Bulawayo giants Highlanders and Chicken Inn respectively.

The woes continued for Makepepe and DeMbare as both have endured difficult starts to the 2025 season.

At Rufaro Stadium, a second-half strike from Brian Muza handed Dynamos their second loss of the campaign, while Reason Sibanda’s early goal was enough for Highlanders to edge CAPS United at Barbourfields Stadium.

Following the defeat, CAPS United now sit second from bottom with four points, three above basement side Triangle United.

Dynamos are now placed 13th with six points from six matches.

Makepekepe have recorded one win, one draw, and four losses, while Dynamos have managed one win, three draws, and two defeats.

Meanwhile, newly promoted MWOS continued their impressive run, defeating Herentals 1-0 to go top of the log.

The Punters, who remain unbeaten, lead the standings with 14 points, having secured four wins and two draws.

Speaking after the victory against Herentals, MWOS coach Lloyd Mutasa said: “Like I have always been saying, you don’t get easy games in the Premiership and this one was another tough encounter.

“But we are happy that from the few chances we managed to create today, we scored one goal which ultimately decided the game.

“There is a lot of team work within the youngsters, defending from the top and fighting for each other, as well as the desire of wanting to get a good result.”
