NORTON – Police in Zimbabwe have arrested Roseline Ndaizivei Tawengwa, the wife of militant war veteran and Zanu PF central committee member Blessed Geza, in a dangerous escalation of political temperatures in the country.

According to her lawyer Beatrice Mtetwa, detectives from the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) took Roseline from her home in Norton to Harare, led by a Maziti.

Its the the third time police have quizzed her over her husband’s whereabouts after a now viral interview in which Geza called on President Emmerson Mnangagwa to step down accusing him of nepotism, corruption, mismanagement and incompetence.

After initial speculation that Geza was being protected by the army and holed up at the army headquarters at KG6 in Harare, other media outlets are reporting that he escaped to South Africa.

Geza skipped the border into South Africa, warning that war veterans will soon escalate the succession confrontation and boot out Mnangagwa in the process.
