Kudzai Mushonga speaks after being dumped by socialite Khanyi Mbau

SOUTH AFRICA – Zimbabwean businessman Kudzai Mushonga has broken his silence after being dumped by South African socialite Khanyi Mbau, penning a cryptic post on social media that suggested that while the actress might have seen him as a liability, he could become an asset to other people in life.

Mbau revealed that she had dumped Mushonga earlier this week, bringing to an end a relationship that had been riddled with drama over the years.

“He was a good guy, but he did some bad things. He tried everything he could to make it up to me. I did most of my grieving while we were together. I finally got the courage to leave. And of course, I wish him the best,” Mbau wrote on social media.

In a post on his Instagram account, Mushonga suggested that he was also embarking on his own journey of healing that would see him rise to the top, despite the heartbreak he might have caused Mbau.

“You may have been a chapter of grief in someone’s story. But you will be a vessel for Nations, a voice for the unheard, a gateway for those facing closed doors,” he wrote.

Mushonga continued: “Follow the light and keep showing up. Walk the journey barefoot, your faith will carry you, through the darkest times. Stay focused, you are destined to sit among Kings and Royalty.”

This is not the first time the couple have called it quits. In August 2021, the couple made headlines when Khanyi abruptly left Dubai without informing Kudzai and flew back to South Africa.

A distressed Kudzai took to social media, claiming she was missing and pleading for her return. She later wrote a song about the incident.

Khanyi said in a radio interview at the time that she had left immediately to protect her mental health. She also explained why she produced the song when she returned home.
