SOUTH AFRICA – Donell Mbele, the son of South African actress Sonia Mbele, has found himself in legal trouble once again, as he faces charges of sexually assaulting his ex-girlfriend.
The 23-year-old appeared at the Randburg Magistrate’s Court today on two counts of rape. He was released on R1000 bail.
Alarm bells started ringing in December after the son of the actress was outed as a rapist by his ex-girlfriend.
“I was violated by someone I thought I could trust, who I held close to my heart,” she said. “At first, I concentrated on it but later changed my mind.”
Describing the ordeal, Donell’s ex beau said that she had repeatedly told him to stop during the assault but he did not heed her protestations.
“I remember another incident where he just got on top of me, pinned me down and forced himself onto me.”
This is not the first time that the famous actress’ son has found himself in trouble.
In 2022, Donell was arrested and charged with physically assaulting his now ex-girlfriend, Reokeditswe Makete.
This came after she made claims on social media that she caught him cheating and he became violent and took over her social media. Rekedtswe later dropped the charges.
