HARARE – Former Scottish Premiership midfielder Kundai Benyu has joined CAPS United as a free agent, signing a two-year deal with the 2016 Premier Soccer League champions in Zimbabwe.
The 27-year-old versatile midfielder arrived in Zimbabwe on Saturday to seal the move.
Benyu has been without a club for the past two years.
His last stint was at Icelandic side IB Vestmannaeyja, where his contract expired in December 2022 and was not renewed.
The UK born player began his professional career with Ipswich Town in England.
He also had a spell with Helsingborgs IF in Sweden.
Benyu once played for the Zimbabwe senior national team.
He was impressive at the last Africa Cup of Nations that Zimbabwe participated in held in Cameroon in 2022.
