Newly promoted Scottland FC’s high profile new signing Khama Billiat has declared “let’s make a season to remember” after joining the Scott Sakupwanya owned side recently.
The new Scottland FC attacker is probably hoping to see the star studded side making history by becoming the first Premier Soccer League (PSL) outfit to win the league title in the first season after earning top flight league promotion.
Formerly with Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs, Billiat expressed his desire to create an unforgettable season with his new teammates.
“I’m filled with mixed emotions of gratitude and hope for the future. Above all, let’s make it a season to remember,” Billiat told Scottland’s media department after signing his contract last week.
Billiat’s optimism is probably a result of the impressive player recruitment being done by the Mabvuku based side.
The ambitious club has assembled a star studded squad, fueling expectations of a potential title challenge.
Scottland has already unveiled 12 players, including Caps United captain Godknows Murwira, Kingsley Mureremba, Mthokozisi Msebe, Michael Charamba, Tymon Machope, and goalkeeper Nelson Chadya.
Further signings are expected to be unveiled soon.
These include big signings of PSL golden boot winner Lynoth Chikuhwa, Highlanders vice captain Peter Muduhwa, Soccer Star of the Year Walter Musona, and speedy winger Godfrey Makaruse.
