Prophet Shepherd Bushiri hits out at ‘evil’ Chris Brown after show in South Africa
Prophet Shepherd Bushiri has lashed out at South Africans’ for the warmth they have shown towards American performer Chris Brown, questioning why he was being praised for filling up a stadium in that country when he represented “evil”.
Brown was the flavour of the weekend in Mzansi, were he had two sold out appearances at the 94 000-seater FNB stadium.
Brown’s two sold out shows on Saturday and Sunday seem to have rubbed Bushiri the wrong way, who chastised South Africans for celebrating evil.
In a post on his Facebook page, Bushiri said there was an attempt to downplay his achievements in SA, especially by the media in that country.
“So Chris Brown’s concert at FNB Stadium drew a crowd of 94,000 and the South African weirdo Media is going crazy crowning him; “the biggest crowd puller” What a shame. Hate is really an animal.
“They are trying to pay a blind eye on my meetings in the same stadium where we recorded an all-time high in numbers with 110,000 people attending my Crossover Night prayers for four consecutive times.
“Despite the FNB Management, posting it on the public display, no South African media wrote about it, till date,” he wrote.
Bushiri said while he, a religious man was being demonised, Brown was being given the spotlight.
“Indeed, if you hate someone, even their most beautiful face looks ugly. The South African media is trying to enthrone Chris Brown and dethrone the GOSPEL.
“They gladly, wrote about Chris Brown fans; “they were entertained” and my followers who attended prayers; “they were brainwashed.” Wow. Soon South Africans will wake up to the real agenda happening in their land – hating men of God and celebrating evil,” he wrote.
Bushiri escaped to Malawi from South Africa after he and his wife were arrested in 2020 in connection with fraud, money laundering and theft worth more than R102 million.
After they were granted bail of R200 000 each the pair escaped to their native Malawi citing xenophobia and little chance of getting justice in South Africa.
