England born former Celtic midfielder Kundai Benyu (26) is reportedly considering a move to the Scott Sakupwanya owned Scottland FC, Nehanda Radio has learnt.

The midfielder, who has had stints in Iceland and England, is currently a free agent after leaving IBV in 2023.

Sources close to Scottland suggest Benyu is keen to revive his football career and has expressed interest in joining the Mabvuku-based club.

“He is keen to play football once again. He wants to put his career back on track, so he has shown interest in playing for Scottland,” the sources revealed.

This is not the first time that Benyu has been linked with a move to a new club after parting ways with IBV of Iceland.

Benyu was linked with a move to the South African Premiership, with Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates reportedly interested in his services.

However, a move did not materialise.

Benyu was part of the Zimbabwe Warriors squad that participated at the AFCON finals in Cameroon in 2022.
