Zimbabwe national team legend Peter Ndlovu has taken to X to mourn the death of his fellow compatriot and comedian Lee Wayne Maponga whose stage name was Shatrisha Vibes.
Shatrisha, as Maponga was popularly known, succumbed to cancer last week Tuesday.
He rose to fame during the Covid-19 period through his comedy videos and skits that were widely shared on social media platforms such as TikTok.
Following his death, Ndlovu joined the arts industry, pouring tributes to his fellow countryman saying he “put the country on the world map with his talents”.
“Outside of the industry that we know (football), we also follow the progress of our fellow Brothers and Sisters who are doing well. At this moment in time, I pay tribute to Shatrisha Vibes who passed away recently,” he wrote.
Added the ex-Sheffield United forward: “Condolences to the family and friends. May they be consoled in the name of the Almighty.
“I did not know him personally but what I know is that he put the country on the world map with his talents.”
