According to an online publication Givemesport, Hadebe has found a new home after spending just two months unattached following his departure at Tumosan Konyaspor in Turkey in June.

He had joined Konyaspor on a short four months deal as a free agent after parting ways with Dynamo in December 2023.

“FC Cincinnati is finalising a deal to sign Zimbabwe international center back Teenage Hadebe.”

FC Cincinnati are reportedly looking to bolster their defense despite having signed another center back in Nigeria’s Chidozie Awaziem in the summer.

Awaziem’s arrival came after reigning MLS Defender of the Year Matt Miazga suffered a season long injury.

The club was also interested in Leeds United centre back Liam Cooper who is also a free agent.

Youthful coach Patrick Noonan wants to strengthen his defense department hence the signing of Hadebe.

Cincinnati are currently second on the log table with 48 points after 26 games played so far.

They are eight points behind current log leaders Inter Miami who are home to Lionel Messi as well as Luis Suarez.

The Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) confirmed Hadebe has a new club during its announcement of the 23-men Warriors squad set to play Kenya and Cameroon on 6 and 10 September.

“Teenage Hadebe has secured a new club, but the club have requested that they be allowed to be the ones to make an announcement,” wrote ZIFA.

The 28-year old defender has remained tight lipped on his next move although recently, he expressed his desire to return to the MLS where he spent two years with Houston Dynamo.

He revealed: “My wish is to retire in the MLS because I still love America, my family love the city country, even the supporters there are great.”

The Makokoba born left footed centre back, joined Dynamo as a Designated Player on a two-year deal in 2021 before leaving the club in 2023.

He made 56 appearances for Dynamo where he picked up two awards during his maiden season.

He was voted the club’s Defender of the Year and Newcomer of the Year.
