Scott Sakupwanya’s Betterbrands Gold now official shirt sponsor for Zimbabwe Warriors

HARARE – Northern Region Division One side, Scottland FC owner as well as the Yadah FC benefactor, Scott Sakupwanya is slowly making waves in the Zimbabwean football landscape.

This follows Tuesday’s announcement by the Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) that they have gone to bed with his company Betterbrands Gold as their official shirt sponsor.

The sponsorship deal which is to the tune of US$80 000, is set to “see Betterbrands providing comprehensive support covering top of the range, training, travel, leisure, and matchday apparel for the national team.”

Furthermore, ZIFA revealed that replica jerseys will also be provided at a date to be announced.

The sponsor deal covers for the Senior Men’s National Team in the upcoming AFCON Qualification Campaign scheduled to kickstart next month.

“The Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) is proud to announce its partnership with Betterbrands Gold as the official kit sponsor for the Senior Men’s National Team in their quest for qualification to the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON),” announced ZIFA.

“This sponsorship deal, valued at $80 000, will see Betterbrands Gold providing comprehensive support covering top of the range, Training, Travel, Leisure, and Matchday Apparel for the national team. Replicas will also be provided at a date to be announced.”

Speaking after sealing the partnership deal, Tonde Sakupwanya, CEO of Betterbrands Gold said: “We are thrilled to support the Senior Men’s National Team as they embark on this crucial journey towards AFCON qualification.

The ZIFA CEO, Yvonne Mapika Manwa welcomed the sponsorship deal saying: “This partnership with Betterbrands Gold is a significant boost for our national team.

“The support provided through this sponsorship will ensure that our players are well-equipped and prepared for every aspect of their campaign, from training to matchday.

“We are grateful to Betterbrands Gold for their unwavering support and belief in our national team.”

According to ZIFA, “Betterbrands Gold will play a crucial role in ensuring that the team has the necessary resources and support to perform at their best” during the AFCON qualifiers campaign.

Zimbabwe will start their quest for the 2025 AFCON finals to be hosted in Morocco with a match against Kenya on 6 September before playing host to Cameroon four days after in Uganda.
