13k women and children … Doek and Slay boasts of record breaking crowd

HARARE – Organisers of the popular Doek and Slay event have claimed that they hosted a record setting 13 770 people during their event held at Alex Sports Club over the weekend.

Killer T, Freeman and EXQ were some of the performers during an event that has since become a trending topic on social media because of the numbers it reportedly pulled.

“We can safely say that this edition was the biggest event with over 13 770 women in attendance,” one of the organisers told H-Metro.

Also in attendance at the event was legendary talk show host, Mai Chisamba, who reportedly had words of encouragement for the ladies in attendance.

“Vakadzi ngatibatanei tiite chimwe without fighting each other but supporting one another,” she said.

One of the attendees, Sandra Chivhanga said that she was already looking forward to the next instalment of the popular event.

“I am already planning on what am going to wear next time because it’s crazy how all the ladies are looking.”

“You won’t believe it if I tell you that I am from Kadoma and I had to travel this side to attend because women from Harare know how to party,” she said.
