Khama Billiat reaches double figures as Yadah defeats Chegutu Pirates 2-0

NGEZI – Former Zimbabwe national team vice captain, Khama Billiat reached double figures for the season as Yadah FC secured a 2-0 victory over Chegutu Pirates at Baobab Stadium on Sunday.

Billiat opened the scoring in the 13th minute, capitalising on a defensive error to give Yadah the lead.

Substitute Mandlenkosi Mlilo doubled the advantage in the 47th minute.

With his 10th goal of the season, Billiat joined CAPS United’s William Manondo at the top of the Premier Soccer League (PSL) goal scoring charts.

Billiat has been in impressive form recently, earning recognition for his performances.

The 34-year-old attacking midfielder was named the PSL Player of the Month for July recently.

He also received the same award at the Footballers Union of Zimbabwe (FUZ) after being voted by PSL players.

In that month (July) the former Kaizer Chiefs talisman scored three times and provided one assist.

He scored in their 1-1 draw with Hwange, 2-0 victory over Bikita Minerals as well as the 2-1 win against Bulawayo Chiefs.
