HARARE – Patricia Simon Makoni, the widow of the late Zimbabwean music legend Cde Chinx has passed away.
Makoni passed away on Sunday after a battle with cancer. It is yet unclear how long she had been suffering from the ailment.
Her late husband, a man credited for providing the soundtrack to Zimbabwe’s liberation struggle, also died of cancer in 2021.
Makoni, who featured in a lot of her husband’s videos, once worked as a police officer.
Although details of her death and burial are still sketchy, the Zimbabwe Music Rights Association (ZIMURA) has since sent its condolences to the Makoni family following Patricia’s death.
