The Zimbabwe Warriors, once again without a home ground, are set to host African football giants Cameroon at the Mandela National Stadium in Uganda.
The crucial match, part of the qualifiers for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), is scheduled for September 10.
It will be the third consecutive occasion the Warriors have been forced to play a home match on foreign soil due a stadium crisis in Zimbabwe.
This comes after the National Sports Stadium failed to meet the minimum required CAF standards.
These include the mandatory installation of bucket seats and electronic turnstiles.
Previously, Zimbabwe hosted Nigeria at Huye Stadium in Rwanda during the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers in November 2023.
Furthermore, they recently hosted Lesotho at Orlando Stadium in South Africa in June.
Meanwhile, before the Cameroon match, Zimbabwe will play Kenya who are also homeless in Uganda at the same venue.
The AFCON qualifier match is slated for 6 September 2024.
