HARARE – Yadah FC marquee signing Khama Billiat scored his eighth goal of the season when they defeated Bikita Minerals 2-0 at the Heart Stadium on Saturday.
The goal saw Billiat joining CAPS United’s striker William Manondo at top of the league’s goal scorers chart.
Billiat broke the deadlock in the 72nd minute to put Yadah in front against visitors Bikita Minerals.
The ex-Kaizer Chiefs star tapped home from close range after being teed up by young attacking midfielder Ryan Ncube.
Impressive midfielder Blessed Ndereki sealed the victory for Yadah in the 89th minute thanks to his solo goal.
Billiat’s current form has seen Yadah head coach Thomas Ruzive praising him saying “I like his work ethic”.
“I liked his work ethic from day one and it has never changed,” Ruzive told Zimpapers Sports Hub.
He revealed that the former Mamelodi Sundowns man is a “hard worker”.
“Billiat is a hard worker. We train as a team but after that, he comes to me to ask for individual training plans.”
Due to his work ethic and hard working, Ruzive is not surprised with what Billiat is doing in the field of play.
He believes Billiat is not yet finished as he “still has a lot to offer to football” and “is an inspiration to the rest of the team and we enjoy working with him.”
Billiat will be hoping to carry on with his form as Yadah square off Harare giants Dynamos in a mid week fixture slated for Thursday at Rufaro Stadium.
