Billiat, Chirinda’s top form and scoring prowess ignite the Castle Lager PSL

Yadah FC and Ngezi Platinum Stars’ new acquisitions Khama Billiat and Obriel Chirinda respectively, have set the Castle Lager PSL ablaze with their impressive form and scoring prowess.

This comes after the two forwards are finding the net week in and week out much to the delight of their clubs’ fans.

It has also left other fans whose clubs almost landed Billiat and Chirinda still coveting the impressive stars.

They both scored at the weekend, with Billiat extending his tally to seven, while Chirinda made it four in four matches.

Despite that he endured a three match suspension at start of the season after a red card, Billiat has regained his form, challenging for the golden boot gong.

The ex-Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns star is now one goal behind CAPS United’s striker William Manondo who is currently the leading top scorer with eight goals to his name.

On the other hand, Obriel Chirinda has made a good start at Ngezi Platinum, scoring four goals in four games.

The former Bulawayo Chiefs talismanic forward has been on the sidelines until match day 14.

This was due to a contractual dispute between him and Dynamos.

The matter was resolved by the ZIFA Player Status Committee resulting in the 26-year-old being cleared by the PSL as a Ngezi Platinum Stars player.

Following his return to action, Chirinda who finished second on the top goal scorers chart last season with 12 goals, has not forgotten how to bang in goals.

The ex-Chicken Inn man is already four goals behind Manondo after playing four matches only.

Last year, he finished one goal behind the reigning top goal scorer Takunda Benhura who is now his teammate.
