HARARE – Baba Harare has refuted claims that there is any bad blood between him and Jah Prayzah, saying that only death could break the ties between him and his former boss.
The jit musician was once Jah Prayzah’s lead guitarist but left the Third Generation Band to embark on a solo career in 2017.
Before him, another prominent band member, Pamela Zulu – popularly known as Gonyeti, left Jah Prayzah’s band amid allegations of sexual abuse.
Recently, he drew the ire of fans of his old paymaster when he made a social media post seemingly in praise of Jah’s perceived nemesis, Winky D.
To show that there’s no animosity between him and Jah, Baba Harare posted an old picture of the two of them alongside other members of their band, which he captioned:
“If we listened to all the criticism and negativity thrown our way we wouldn’t have grown into the men we are. In this day and age of content farming, rage baiting and virtue signaling please stand guided.”
Emphasising on the unity that exists between them, Baba Harare said only death could separate them.
“Social media and real life are separate entities. Our history is too intertwined for there to be any animosity between us.
“We are family till death does us part. Imi munhu akakuona wakapfeka vhesi reyellow nejombo hombe haasi wekutamba naye. So to the speculators and gossip mongers rest henyu. We are good over here 🙏🏿.” he wrote.
