Zimbabwe Warriors centre back Teenage Hadebe has bid farewell to Turkish Super Lig outfit Tumosan Konyaspor after spending four months at the club.
Hadebe joined Konyaspor as a free agent in February, signing a short term contract set to expire this month (May).
The move came after his stint with Major League Soccer (MLS) side Houston Dynamo in the United States, came to an end in December 2023.
The 28-year-old towering left footed defender arrived at Konyaspor at a time they were in the relegation zone.
He was signed to bolster their defense and went on to play a crucial role in helping them survive relegation on the final day of the season last week Saturday.
The Zimbabwean international took to his X account to post his heartfelt message, expressing his gratitude to the entire Konyaspor family.
Hadebe wrote: “Massive thanks and appreciation to the whole Konyaspor family. To my teammates, staff, president, coaches, management and especially the supporters who supported us right until the end. Mission accomplished – Çok Teşekkürler konya Ailesi. (Thank you very much Konyaspor Family).”
Following his departure at Konyaspor, the ex-Kaizer Chiefs and Houston Dynamo will be a free agent in June.
His next move remains undisclosed, but a potential return to MLS for a second stint could be on the cards.
When he arrived at Konyaspor, Hadebe told the American media that his wish is to retire in the MLS.
“My wish is to retire in the MLS because I still love America, my family love it too, even the supporters they are great, maybe when the season here in Turkey finishes I will visit and say goodbye in a proper way because I did not have the chance to tell the fans who supported me from day one when I arrived here (Dynamo Houston) goodbye, you know the bond I created with those people it means a lot to me,” revealed Hadebe.
