HARARE – Zimbabwe cricket team, the Chevrons, all rounder Sean Williams announced his retirement from T20 cricket earlier this week following the recent five match series against Bangladesh.
Williams or even the Zimbabwe Cricket (ZC) are yet to issue an official statement regarding the retirement.
However, reports suggest a Bangladesh Cricket Board official confirmed the seasoned all-rounder’s decision.
Williams who made his T20 debut in 2006, played 81 games, scoring 1691 runs and collected 48 wickets.
The left handed batter will continue to represent Zimbabwe in the One Day Internationals (ODI) and Tests matches.
In test matches, he has managed 1034 and 21 wickets while in ODI cricket he has amassed nearly 5000 runs with eight centuries and 35 half centuries.
