Zimbabwe took the lead early into the game after a Harambee Stars defender turned the ball into his own net.

Despite taking an early lead, Zimbabwe could not hold on for the win.

Kenya equalised at the stroke of halftime before the Warriors were reduced to 10-men just before the hour mark.

It came after Turkey based defender Teenage Hadebe received a red card in the 57th minute after being shown a second yellow card.

Kenya doubled their lead in the 63rd minute before sealing the victory in the 87th minute.

Warriors coach Norman Mapeza made one change to his starting eleven that drew 2-2 with the Chipolopolo of Zambia in regulation time before winning 6-5 in a penalty shootout.
