“We went to visit His Excellency (Mnangagwa) as he welcomed one of our greatest sports ambassadors, Khama Billiat, back to the country.”

According to the post, Mnangagwa told Billiat: “Be comfortable in the nation, this nation is ready to look after its own children and enhance their talent.

“If any opportunity comes please don’t hesitate to take it and thrive as much as possible. Tell your other guys who are outside the country to do good for Zimbabwe and always raise the flag!”

Billiat becomes the latest Zimbabwean footballer to visit and present his jersey to Mnangagwa at State House.

Warriors captain Marvelous Nakamba and French based national team striker Tino Kadewere recently did so.

Billiat signed for Yadah recently as a free agent after spending nine months without a club following his departure at Kaizer Chiefs in June 2023.

This marked his return to the Premier Soccer League (PSL) after over a decade plying his trade in South Africa.

He made his debut last Sunday when Yadah lost 1-0 to Hwange away at the Colliery Stadium.
