HARARE – Barely four months after its grand opening ceremony attended by President Emmerson Mnangagwa, Yadah FC owner Prophet Walter Magaya’s newly built, The Heart Stadium, is already making waves.
It comes after the stadium has begun to attract international visitors with Mozambique reigning champions Clube Ferroviário da Beira opting to stay at the venue for its pre-season training base.
Clube Ferroviário da Beira will be camped at the 5 000 seater stadium for five days.
This is a major boost for the new facility that Magaya revealed one of his aims to build it was to promote sports tourism in the country.

The Prophetic Healing and Deliverance (PHD) Ministries leader promised to expand the stadium’s capacity to 40 000.
“We are starting with a 5 000-seater facility but the full capacity when completed is 40 000,” he said during the official unveiling ceremony in December.

However, the Heart Stadium is still yet to host local league matches as it awaits inspection from the ZIFA First Instance Body (FIB) for homologation (the granting of approval by an official authority).
