HARARE – Holy Ten’s manager, Tinashe Guvava, has claimed that there seemed to have been no particular reason the rapper was pelted with missiles and ran off the stage in Zvishavane recently.
In a video that has since gone viral on social media, a terrified Holy Ten can be seen fleeing a baying mob outside the venue of his show in the mining town.
A minibus belonging to his team was also attacked during the scuffle.
Holy Ten was in Zvishavane to promote his album, Risky Life 2.
In an interview with a local tabloid, Guvava rubbished reports that the musician had been attacked for performing four songs during the show.
“They just attacked him for no reason, the people Zvishavane have a bad history of attacking artists. It also happened when Soul Jah Love was alive, he was attacked on stage. All is good from our end, no bad blood between the Zvishavane people and us,” he said.
In an Instagram post after the incident, Holy said the incident made a mockery of all the hard work he had invested into the release of his album.
“Pane vanhu vakuda kutijairira…trust me it’s bad. Inini I work hard and I can tell you that Risky Life 2 album wasn’t easy for me because there is no single cent I got from the sponsors or anyone who offered me anything.
“Pane vanhu vakuda kutijaira, this is not right. Sometimes you try to express yourself, vanhu vachida masubscribers and they have one controversial statement,” he said.
