Zimbabwe Cricket (ZC) is looking to appoint a head coach for the senior men’s national team, the Chevrons.
This was announced in a statement issued by the cricket mother body on Friday via its social media platforms.
“Zimbabwe Cricket is looking to recruit the Zimbabwe Senior Men’s National Team Head Coach,” ZC announced.
“The individual should have attained a recognised coaching certificate at a higher level and possess an impeccable record of coaching at first-class and international levels.”
The Chevrons are currently coachless following the departure of veteran coach Dave Houghton who stepped down in December 2023.
Houghton’s departure came after the Chevrons failed to qualify for the 2023 International Cricket Council Men’s Cricket World Cup and T20 World Cup.
In January, he was replaced by Walter Chawaguta who came in as an interim head coach for the Sri Lanka tour.
However, the post is now vacant after Chawaguta’s recent appointment as the Lady Chevrons’ new head coach.
