Karuru is currently a free agent after leaving Saudi Arabian second division side Al Shoulla in 2022.

The potential signing of the former Zimbabwe Warriors star would be Yadah’s second high profile acquisition this season.

Already, the Prophet Walter Magaya owned side roped in superstar Khama Billiat who was also a free agent.

Billiat was officially unveiled by Yadah last week Thursday after signing a one year deal with them.

Speaking during Billiat’s unveiling, the football mad preacher expressed his interest in acquiring the services of Karuru.

“I want other players like Ovidy Karuru who do not have teams to come back home and play in the PSL because I believe they are still above the local league standard,” revealed Magaya.

Previously in the PSL, the 35-year-old midfielder played for now defunct sides Masvingo United from 2006-2008 and Gunners in 2009.

Magaya is keen to bring back experienced players in the local league to boost the league’s competitiveness, and attract more fans in the stadiums.
