SHURUGWI – A newly-born baby girl was found dumped by two girls doing some errands at a church shrine in Shurugwi on Friday.

The incident happened near Surprise Mine.
The girls aged 17 and 11 found the baby as they were going to a well to fetch water. The baby was collected by Police and taken to Shurugwi District Hospital for medical attention.
Midlands Provincial Police spokesperson Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko confirmed the incident.
He appealed for information that could lead to the arrest of the suspected mother.
