Former Black Motion frontman, Murdah Bongz, found himself on the nasty end of some harsh social media criticism after he shared a video in which he seemed to be promising to settle a bill for Lynn Forbes, the mother of the late South African rapper AKA.
Forbes has a close personal and business relationship with DJ Zinhle, with whom the rapper had a child with. Zinhle is now married to Murdah and the pair also have a child of their own.
Sharing a video on Instagram in which he is in conversation with Zinhle and Forbes, Murdah can he heard encouraging her to go and splurge on his tab. The two appeared to be on a holiday.
“The bill is on you? Then I’m ordering crocodile, warthog, fish whatever,” joked Forbes in the video.
“Anything, the bill is on me so yeah,” the house music producer replied.
Captioning the video, Murdah said that Forbes and Zinhle deserved some time off their busy schedules.
“Go have fun my love. Enjoy all the hard work you do everyday, you & @lynnforbesza deserve this time away. Me, I’m just here making sure our empire is proper proper. ❤️❤️❤️,” he wrote.
While some thought that Murdah’s gesture was thoughtful and kind, other social media users suggested that he could be better off spoiling his own mother.
“It’s said she is really struggling to make end meat (sic), yet he can pay for his ex-wife’s baby daddy’s mother Lynn Forbes’ bill of lunch,” one user on X who claimed to have knowledge’s of Murdah’s mother’s living conditions said.
