In-form Warriors defensive midfielder Marshall Munetsi scored his fifth goal of the season when his side Stade de Reims edged visitors Toulouse 3-0 on Sunday at the Auguste Delaune stadium.
Munetsi scored through a powerful right footed shoot in the 7th minute, taking his season’s tally to five goals.
The Zimbabwean international who is now a vital cog for Reims was making his return from a hip muscle injury which saw him miss the team’s previous fixture.
“And the second one for the Reims Stadium. Marshall Munetsi makes his power speak and crucifies Dupe. There to a beautiful goal,” Stade Reims posted on their Facebook timeline.
Reims have gone for 16 games without tasting defeat in the French Ligue 1 and won five of their last six games at home.
Furthermore, it is their best ever run and the longest ongoing streak from any team in Europe’s top-five leagues.
They are placed 10th on the log standings with 37 points after 25 matches.
