La Liga congratulates Tino Kadewere: First Zimbo to score in league

Spanish top flight league, LaLiga have congratulated Warriors’ star Tinotenda Kadewere for becoming the first ever Zimbabwean player to score in their league.

Kadewere scored twenty minutes into the game, giving Real Mallorca an early lead to eventually beat Villarreal 4-2 at home on Saturday.

He tapped in from close range with his left foot following a square pass from Vedat Muriqi who provided the assist.

Congratulating Kadewere, La Liga wrote on Facebook: “Tino Kadewere scores his first goal in LaLiga, becoming the first Zimbabwean to score in the Spanish League. Congratulations Tino!”

The 26-year-old is on loan at Mallorca from French Ligue 1 side Olympique Lyon until the end of the season.

He joined the Spanish LaLiga outfit in August last year and his dream league debut against Real Madrid was delayed a bit due to a leg injury.
