Bosso targeting championship title says assistant coach Joel Luphahla
Highlanders Football Club assistant coach Joel Luphahla has revealed that the club is targeting a championship title in the 2023 Premier Soccer League (PSL) season slated for March.
Luphahla believes Highlanders need to end the league title drought this season.
Bosso were last crowned champions in 2006 when they were still coached by Methembe Ndlovu.
In an interview with FARPost, Luphahla said: “It’s been long since we last won the league. Being Highlanders, there is always that push and pressure to win the league title, and our head coach (Baltemar Brito) wants it this season.
“The head coach says, we may be far from what we want the team to be, but we have to meet some of the targets and end the league title drought.
“The good thing is that we retained the bulk of our team. Our targets remain the same but we have a number of factors to consider. However, we stick to what our head coach wants us to achieve.”
The former champions are currently in the border town of Beitbridge for their pre-season camp that started on Monday and is set to end on Thursday.
