Luton recall Muskwe from loan; set to link up with compatriot Nakamba

Sky Bet Championship side Luton Town Football Club have recalled Warriors’ centre forward Admiral Muskwe from his loan at Fleetwood Town, the club announced on Tuesday.

Muskwe joined Luton in July 2021 on a permanent deal from Leicester City.

He was loaned out to English League One side Fleetwood Town for regular game time, spent five months at the club, made 14 appearances and found the net three times.

“We can confirm that forward Admiral Muskwe has been recalled following his loan spell at Sky Bet League One side Fleetwood Town. The 24-year-old made a total of 17 appearances during his time at Highbury Stadium, scoring three times.

“Welcome back to Kenilworth Road, Ade [Muskwe],” reads Luton Town’s statement issued on Tuesday.

Fleetwood also issued a statement to confirm Muskwe’s return to his parent club.

“Fleetwood Town can confirm forward Admiral Muskwe has returned to his parent club Luton Town after spending the last five months on the Fylde Coast.

“The forward featured in 14 games during his time at Town, finding the back of the net on three occasions – the last one being a penalty that opened the scoring in a 3-0 win over Shrewsbury Town on New Year’s Day.

“Everyone at Fleetwood Town would like to thank Admiral for his efforts and wish him every success in the future.”

Following his return to Kenilworth Road, the 24-year-old will now link up with his fellow countrymen Marvelous Nakamba who completed his loan move to Luton Town from Aston Villa and was unveiled by the club on the transfer deadline day on Tuesday.

Nakamba who was yet to feature for Villa this season, was told by manager Unai Emery to leave the club in the January transfer window will spend six months on loan at Luton.
