Zvirekwi, four others report Simba Bhora over ‘unlawful contract termination’

Disgruntled ex-CAPS United right back Hardlife Zvirekwi has reported his former paymasters Simba Bhora to the Footballers Union of Zimbabwe (FUZ) over ‘unlawful contract termination’.

In a letter seen by bhorafrika.com, the 35-year-old who was shown the exit door by Simba on Tuesday over alleged ‘indiscipline’ together with his four teammates have requested FUZ to represent them over the matter.

The four are Nigel Godfrey Tinarwo, Kumbiraishe Kapinyu, Blessing Mukoko and Kudakwashe Brown Wilson who were also shipped out by the new premier league boys.

Directed to the club’s Secretary-General Tendai Janhi, reads the letter:

“We contact you in relation to the situation of Simba Bhora Football Club players (Zvirekwi, Tinarwo, Kapinyu, Mukoko and Wilson) whom we represent as members as the members of the Footballers Union of Zimbabwe.

“We wish to refer you to fixed term standard employment contract concluded between Simba Football Club and the concerned players with different start and dates.

“We advise that the Club has terminated the players’ contracts without just cause which is a serious violation of the employment relationship which we are not willing to tolerate.”

Furthermore, the letter also indicated it has given the Shamva based side a 24 hour ultimatum to “reverse the anomaly” and “failure of which we (FUZ) will initiate legal proceedings with compensation against Simba Bhora”.
