Elizabeth Tanya Masiyiwa, daughter to Econet founder Strive Masiyiwa, has been appointed to the board of directors of Econet Wireless Zimbabwe.

In a notice posted on the company’s website by the company’s board secretary, Econet said the appointment was with effect from 1 April 2022.

Ms Masiyiwa, a business leader, social entrepreneur and philanthropist in her own right, holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree in Banking and International Finance from Bayes Business School, City University London and a Masters of Social Entrepreneurship from Hult International Business School. She is currently studying for an Executive MBA from Cambridge University.

Ms Masiyiwa, who holds a number of leadership positions in both local and international organisations, serves on a number of boards, including the Harvard University Leadership Council for the Centre of African Studies and Higherlife Foundation.

She has worked in various organizations “spearheading the investment and funding programmes as well as the human capital development of those organisations.” News Day

Ray Mrango SikhosanaI bet I am far better than you in all aspects. Masiiwa is a mountain mover and only pple who want to depend on other people’s dreams can complain that the guy is exploiting anybody. Endai ku Telecel kana ku Netone kwacho

Ray Mrango Sikhosana Remember Econet Wireless is one of the few complying companies in Zimbabwe. Zimbabwe has a narrow tax base and EWZ is one of the few taxpayers and they buy a license to operate. Do other guys do the same in the same business. We have to grasp the business concept first ….

Anne Mwedza, dzikisa volume redzungu rako pano ravakunyangadza vamwe! Read more mwedzera chenjere nokuti Ruzivo Isimba! Masiyiwa a mountain mover,🙂🤭😅😅, hindava kudzungaira kunge muswe we mbudzi unosiya figa dzichirorwa nazuva. Ndiri kuda kuti utarise maworld mobile tarrifs then wozoona Econet iri panumber ani? Why are you not exploiting them yourself.

Brian Sanzira that’s why yu still voting for zanu pf yu don’t know when you being extremely exploited by yo government and business people compare the reginal data tariffs and then come back to me

Zim has one of the lowest tariffs, kungoti most people are poor and good at complaining.

Ray Mrango Sikhosana Is EWZ a government entity. In every business there’s a part called cost recovery and if you expend you’re compensated by recovering. As for my vote, it remains my deep secret and no one but God alone should know that

Brian Sanzira learn to read and understand now go back to my comment and read again

Ray Mrango Sikhosana there is competition the poor can go to the cheaper options 🤷🏾‍♂️. Econet is for profit organisation not a charity

Jerry Musungo th the concept of this argument is not about jealous or whatever you thinking we talking about fare pricing of services to consumers being monitored by our government without being biased

Ray Mrango Sikhosana what measuring stick are you using from a business point of view? I have been spending a considerable amount of time in SA and i can tell you that mobile data and wifi is sometimes more expensive than Econet Zimbabwe’s tarriffs. You must remember that Econet is not funded by tax payers money it must remain profitable so business decisions are made in terms of maintaining viability. You track the movements of the dollar when changing your USD but you want Econet to use 1:1 with the dollar???

I use unlimited data for a R 400 which is equivalent to 20 US Dollars that only should tell yu something is wrong
