Seventeen people died while seven others were seriously injured in a head on collision involving two vehicles along the Harare-Nyamapanda Road yesterday afternoon.
Fourteen people died on spot while three succumbed to injuries at Mutoko hospital. National police spokesperson Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed the fatal accident.
He urged drivers to be cautious on the roads.

Gerald Zungu the roads are poorly maintained but I would say Zimbabwe has the best of drivers as compared to SA which have smooth roads which are properly maintained
Gerald Zungu Highways are narrow and not dualised. So if a car loses control it will cause head on collision which is usually fatal. I live in UAE which has a high number of cars and the drivers speed. Theres very few accidents because of the roads.
